Who We Are:
ONYX is built on real elevator industry experience — not theory. ONYX Elevator/Escalator Inspections LLC is a Florida-based inspection company focused solely on vertical transportation safety and code compliance. With more than 26 years in
the elevator and escalator industry, ONX understands both the mechanical side of the equipment and the code requirements that keep passengers safe. Our background includes field work, supervision, and inspections for a variety of
systems—traction elevators, hydraulic elevators, escalators, LULAs, and platform lifts. That experience makes our inspections more accurate and more valuable than generic checklist inspections.
We bring:
- 26+ years of real field experience
- QEI certification
- State of Florida Inspector certification
- Deep ASME and NFPA code knowledge
Certifications & Qualifications:
- QEI-certified inspectors – NAESA International
- State of Florida Certified Elevator Inspectors
- Experience with ASME A17.1 & A18.1, NFPA 70, and Florida Statute Chapter 399
- Knowledge of local AHJ requirements and procedures across Florida
